What's Included?
Memberships and Day Passes provide you with access to the tools and space to create (almost) anything! Whether you are an artist, engineer, or hobbyist, our space helps cultivate your creativity.
The Toolkit
Policy & Access
Membership does not include immediate access to any single piece of equipment. Machines are first come, first served. The general rule is 3-hour slots. If an educational program or special event is scheduled, those tools will be unavailable until the event concludes.
You need to bring your own materials or purchase them from us. For 3D printing, we provide Grey filament. If you want colors/specialty effects, you must provide manufacturer-specific filament (e.g., MakerBot for MakerBot). Use of 3rd party materials requires providing your own extruder.
Makers Mix staff are not personal designers. If you haven't taken the Laser or 3D Printing class, you must pay $30/hr for an employee to program the equipment for your project.
2-Day 'Parking Passes' are available for projects in progress. For permanent storage or lockers, a storage fee applies. Consult staff for current rates.
Member Responsibilities
"Makers Mix is not a spectator sport."
Wear appropriate PPE (Eye pro, masks, gloves). If you don't feel confident with a tool, ask for help. Access may extend beyond business hours; operate at your own risk.
Zero tolerance for bullying. Keep loud conversations outside or use headphones. Respect folks deep in concentration on their projects.
Clean up your mess! Brooms and mops are provided. If your trash is too big for the bin, ask for a cart and dumpster access.
Three Strikes Rule
Membership is a privilege. Failure to adhere to safety, inclusion, and stewardship may result in immediate suspension or rescinding of membership.
